Thuja Design have recently completed the refurbishment of the reception area at Lancaster House, Birmingham for Custodian REIT plc.
The sensitive and contemporary refurbishment includes a decorative plaster ceiling, new lighting, flooring and reception furniture.
Mirroring the existing timber panelling with their classic detailing Thuja Design have used translucent Corian forming light boxes for the tenant board and the reception desk front.
We are particularly pleased with the Weaver and Ducre's JJW light fittings with their gold concentrically arranged aluminium strips that exude contemporary elegance.
The reception area is one element of the full refurbishment of this highly prominent Portland Stone office building on the edge of Birmingham's central business district.
The schedule of works also included the replacement of all windows, stone cleaning work's and the refurbishment to a high standard of all vacant floor plates arranged over basement, ground and six upper floors totalling 3,680.70 sq.m (39,619 sq.ft).
